Installation Steps

1. Download the file Click the Download button in the table above. Your browser will save SavvyKP_Setup_v1.2.0.exe to your Downloads folder.
2. Keep the file (Chrome / Edge) Your browser may show a warning bar at the bottom or top of the screen saying the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”. Click the … (three-dot) menu next to the warning and choose Keep or Keep anyway.
3. Run the installer Open your Downloads folder and double-click SavvyKP_Setup_v1.2.0.exe to start the installation.
4. Windows SmartScreen warning — follow these steps
    If you see “Windows protected your PC”

   This is a standard one-time warning that Windows shows for any newly released software that has not yet accumulated enough download history with Microsoft. The application is completely safe and built by me personally.

   1. Click “More info” (blue link, lower-left of the dialog)
   2. A “Run anyway” button will appear at the bottom — click it
   3. The installer will launch normally

5. Antivirus and download warnings Some security products (for example McAfee, Norton, or similar suites) may interrupt the download or show a dialog when you run the installer. If that happens, please choose the option to allow or keep the file and proceed with installation when you are comfortable doing so. SavvyKP++ is offered as free software; a commercial code-signing certificate is not yet in place because of the current cost of setup and renewal. We plan to add a proper digital signature in a future release when that becomes practical.
   • Identity cannot be verified: Windows may state that it cannot confirm who published the software. A valid digital signature acts like a verified ID for the publisher; we are working toward that for a later release.
   • Risk of tampering: Without a signature, Windows cannot automatically confirm that the file is unchanged since it was built. We distribute the installer only from this official download page.
   • Microsoft Defender SmartScreen: SmartScreen may block or warn on files that are new or not yet widely downloaded. That is common for independent software. Please use More info and then Run anyway if you trust this source (see step 4 above).
6. Complete the installation Follow the on-screen prompts (click Next, accept the license, choose an install folder, then click Install). The defaults are fine for most users.
7. Launch SavvyKP++ Once installation finishes, a shortcut will appear on your Desktop and in the Start Menu. Double-click it to open the application. No internet connection is needed.
